There was a time when Xiaomi had slow and steady plans for the Indian mobile market and were taking baby steps while launching new products. With each of their products, the company expanded their presence in different segments one phone at a time. And now, Xiaomi seems to be in no mood to slow down as the company has already launched 3 new handsets in this year itself; starting from the Note 3 to the latest Redmi 3S and 3S prime.
The Redmi 3S is packed with 2GB of RAM and 16GB onboard storage while the Redmi 3S Prime is packed with 3GB RAM and 32 GB onboard storage. Speaking of the 3S Prime the phone has intensified the competition in the budget phone market and we feel it will tear down almost every other phone in the segment. Here are 5 reasons why it seems that the Redmi 3S prime is here to win.
Looks
So finally, the entry-level Redmi series has finally received a metal makeover. The Redmi 3S Prime gets a metal unibody construction that makes the phone looks premium and well finished. It seems to have borrowed design cues from its elder brother, the Note 3. The Note 3 itself boasts looks that can give the high-end phones a run for their money and the Redmi 3S Prime is absolutely doing the same. Personally, there is no other phone in the price bracket that looks as neat as the 3Ss.
Processor
The Redmi 3S Prime will be the first ever smartphone to be power by the Octa-core Snapdragon 430 processor. The Hexa core chip inside the Redmi Note 3 has given a tough time to many octacores in the market and the fact is evident through Antutu benchmarking as well. We expect the combination of 3GB RAM with the Adreno 505 GPU inside the Prime to take the act a couple of notches higher.
Battery
No other phone in this segment offers such juicy specs and a battery that is as huge as 4100 mAh; its 100mAh higher than the Redmi Note 3. Without describing any further, it is a done deal here!
Features
The Redmi 3S Prime is packed with features that need individual mention just for their uniqueness to the segment. The phone gets a so-called ultra-fast unlocking Fingerprint sensor on its back. The construction seems to be similar to the module on the Note 3 and we didn’t find any problems with the sensor’s performance on the Note 3. The Redmi 3S Prime also gets a VoLTE support.
Price
One of the main aspects why the Redmi 3S Prime will do good business, is because of its price it will roll out for. The The 3S Prime will sell for INR 8,999/. There are many other manufacturers that have their players in the same price brackets but Xiaomi is set to ruin their game again with their surprising good quality products.
As of now, we have just discussed about the Redmi3S Prime and it is about time that we will have the unit in our labs. So stay tuned for an in-depth review of the phone soon.
