Slim-mer Design & No headphone Jack!

Apple will shave off a chunk of the iPhone 7 to make it slimmer and lightweight. Not that the previous iPhones were heavy and thick but still the iPhone maker is determined to make the changes. As mentioned, the iPhone 7 will be lean and fit, but all of that will come only after a few good sacrifices. So Apple has decided to chop off the 3.5mm audio jack to save a few grams and some dimension. Well, that’s not the only reason why the audio jack has been axed. It seems Apple plans to promote their Beats brand by introducing new Bluetooth headsets and earphones. Reportedly, the company is also working on a new type of earphones that will connect to the iPhone through the Lightning port.

Dual Camera

Every spy pic or rumour of every other upcoming phone suggests a dual camera configuration for the primary shooter. And it seems nothing different with the case of the upcoming iPhone7. Many so called ‘leaked images’ suggest that the iPhone 7 will come with a dual lens shooter. Till now we have been impressed by the image and video quality that the iPhones are capable of delivering, therefore we expect that the new version will take the game up a level high.

Home Button

There is news that Apple will get rid of their iconic home button and replace it with a much-advanced module for the iPhone 7. Reports suggest that the home button will provide a haptic feedback and will also be pressure sensitive.

Antenna Lines

A complete rework of the Antenna band design is expected from the designers. Starting from the iPhone6, the phones received a unique antenna band design on the rear that interfered in the smooth fit and feel of the bodywork. We don’t want to call it ugly, but the whole antenna artwork didn’t seem to go well. So with the new iPhone, we hope this is fixed.

Waterproof

A lot of newly launched phones are geared up with various types of IP certifications that make them splashproof, water resistant and dust proof as well. So with the iPhone7 we expect that the phone will get some protection of some sort to make the deal attractive.

Battery

Apple has not been keen in rolling out devices with huge mAh numbers. Even their latest upgraded iPhone 5SE comes packed with a 1,624 mAh battery. Yet these phones get your job done and don’t die out soon. Rumour state that Apple is going to squeeze in more space into the battery pack to make it even more lasting. But can they do it without losing the lean?

Versions

Apple may get rid of the 16Gb variants and will establish 32GB variants as their base offerings across their devices. Also introduced will be a new 256GB model starting from the upcoming iPhone. Speaking of versions, the iPhone7 will likely roll out in a standard 4.7inch screen version along with the 5.5inch iPhone7 Pro/Plus model.

Name

Well, the upcoming iPhone7 may not be called the iPhone7! Yes, you read it right, rumour has it that the upcoming model will go by the name – iPhone 6SE.

To find out if the iPhone7 will be called as the iPhone7, will have no headphone jack and will get a new home button module, we will have to wait till September this year. So, just a month more and the truth will be revealed, till then stay tuned with Gizmoids, as we get you the latest updates and action from the tech world.
