8 GB RAM Rumored in Upcoming LeEco Smart Phone

In the past few years, we have seen how smart phone manufacturers have made a gradual shift from a single core CPU to eight and even ten core processors powering their devices. It now seems that this year the smart phone competitions are shifting to who offers a higher RAM in their devices. LeEco has just announced the Le Max 2, which is a mid range smart phone that offers a whopping 6 GBs worth of RAM. This was immediately followed by the new OnePlus 3, which too offers the same amount of RAM, albeit at a slightly lower price. But now certain rumours are pointing towards LeEco wanting to jump ahead of time. The company is apparently working on another device which will offer a ridiculous 8 GB of RAM.

According to reports by GizChina, the new smart phone from LeEco will be powered by a Snapdragon 821 / 823 processor. One must note that the current Snapdragon 820 is also compatible with such high RAM units. The smart phone will also be expected to feature a 25 MP camera and a fingerprint scanner at the back. The device is expected to be launched at an approximate value of 3000 yuan, which roughly equals INR 31,000.

The rendering of the LeEco’s new smart phone looks very similar to the recently launched Le Max 2, complete with a metal build and it could well be just another variant that the company plans to introduce later in the market. The leaked info could also be completely false but knowing LeEco, they might just have something similar being developed and worked upon.
