After delivering epic masterpieces like the Dark Knight trilogy and Interstellar, Christopher Nolan is back, this time deciding to pick the Second World War as his topic of choice. His upcoming movie Dunkirk is about the Battle of Dunkirk which took place in Dunkirk, France, where more than 300,000 soldiers of the Allied forces has to be evacuated as they were surrounded by the Nazi forces. The short teaser trailer has the visual stamp of Nolan’s mastery and gives you a feeling that the movie might have the makings of another masterpiece.
The new movie stars Tom Hardy, along with Bridge of Spies star Mark Rylance. There also newcomer Fionn Whitehead who’d be trying to prove his mettle.
The short trailer shows a group of Allied soldiers in a boat, apparently under artillery attack. The atmosphere, the tense faces of the soldiers, the visuals, the sound effects and what ensues would throw you in a tense frenzy making your blood pressure soar.
The film has been shot in IMAX format and the man at the helm of the lens is Nolan’s associate for Interstellar Hoyte van Hoytema. Check out the trailer, it is sure to start a countdown in your brain for July 19, 2017, the film’s release date.
