Ryan Gosling will play Neil Armstrong in upcoming biopic

After spending 3 months to master the piano and fresh from singing “City of Stars” for his upcoming flick La La Land, Ryan Gosling is now about to set foot on the moon. Although he’d only replicate it in a Hollywood studio, the actor has been confirmed to play Neil Armstrong’s part in the upcoming biopic. The movie will be adapted from the book “First Man: A Life of Neil A. Armstrong” by James Hansen.

The movie will depict NASA’s space program from 1961 to 1969 and is being scripted by Oscar winning script writer, Josh Singer. The movie, to be called ‘Fisrt Man’, will be directed by Damien Chazelle, who is also the director of Gosling’s upcoming movie, La La Land.

The movie will provide a deeper insight into Armstrong’s life, who participated in World War II and later went on to become a test pilot. It will look to relive what has been one of the most audacious, expensive and dangerous missions in history. Who’s playing Buzz’s part? We don’t know yet.
