OnePlus rolled out the much awaited VoLTE feature for the OnePlus 2 via the OxygenOS 3.5.5 OTA update. However, OnePlus 2 users complained about the persistent network drop issues post the update. Users, mostly the ones using Reliance Jio and Airtel, complained about network dropping continuously when using mobile data. That being said, the devices performed without any issue over WiFi.
OnePlus was quick to address the issue and the smartphone manufacturer has already rolled out a new OTA Update, OxygenOS 3.5.6, which has fixed persistent network drops. As usual, the rollout will be incremental. Apart from the fixed VoLTE issue, the new OTA update will be identical to the 3.5.5 update.
