India has lost a position for the year 2016, when it comes to watching adult content on the Internet. In PornHub’s annual review report, the land of Kama Sutra was ranked as the 4th biggest consumer of Porn in the World. We had settled for Bronze in 2015.
In a country, where fairness creams are sold as a ticket to the attractive humans club, surprisingly, we seem to be following our Prime Minister’s ‘Make in India’ diktat when it comes to Porn. Our true inner self came out in full support for ‘Brown’. According to the report, out of the Top-10 searches made on the site, all 10 were made to watch fellow country men and women getting jiggy with it. No surprises then that the Top-3 porn stars we chose to watch were Sunny Leone, Mia Khalifa and Lisa Ann, in that order.
We also ranked 4th in the World, when it comes to Female visitors latching on to PornHub. Apparently, 30% of viewers who visited the site from India were women. There’s still a lot of catching up to do if that is compared to the Female visitor percentage from South American countries.
In terms of time spent watching content on the site, we finished a miserable 16th. Maybe because in a country of a billion and a half, there’s hardly any time and place for some private time.
