Teased as an all-rounder, a new Xiaomi Smartphone has been teased on Flipkart. To be launched on January 19th, the device in all probability will be the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4. Although the same phone has been available in China since August 2016. Here’s what it packs inside its metal body.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow out-of-the-box with Xiaomi’s MiUI8 on top and is powered by a Deca-core MediaTek Helio X20 SoC, coupled with a Mali-T880 MP4 GPU. Bearing a fingerprint scanner on the rear panel, the phone features a 5.5-inch, full-HD (1080×1920 pixels), 2.5D curved glass display with a pixel density of 401ppi. The Note 4 features a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, an f/2.0 aperture and dual-tone LED flash. The 5-megapixel front camera sports an 85-degree wide angle lens. Storage can be expanded till 128 GB with the help of a microSD card in a hybrid dual-SIM card configuration. So you may either enjoy dual-sim compatibility, or the luxury of additional space.
The Redmi Note comes with an infrared sensor, while connectivity options include 4G with VoLTE, Bluetooth, GPS, Micro-USB, and Glonass. Powered by a 4100mAh battery, the Note 4 measures 151 x 76 x 8.35mm, and weighs 175 grams. Two variants are available in the home country – One with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of inbuilt storage model, priced at CNY 899 (approximately Rs. 9,000). The other variant is available with 3GB of RAM and 64GB storage, priced at CNY 1,199 (approximately Rs. 12,000). When launched in India, expect these prices to remain more or less unchanged.
