Steal-a-Deal: Honor 6X with Dual Camera, 3GB RAM goes on sale at Rs.12,999

The much awaited dual camera Honor 6X has finally been launched in India. To be an Amazon exclusive, the phone has been priced of Rs. 12,999 for the 3GB RAM variant, while the one which packs 4GB of RAM has been priced at Rs. 15,999. Eager beavers will have to wait though, as for now, one can only register for the sale that begins on 2nd February, 2017 at 2PM.

First introduced at the CES 2017, the Honor 6X features a 5.5-inch, IPS, FHD display which is covered in a 2.5D glass. Running Android 6.0 Marshmallow, it runs Honor’s EMUI that supports  14 local languages, including Assamese, Bengali, Gujrati, Hindi, Punjabi and Urdu among others.

Powering the Honor 6X is an Octa Core Kirin 655 Chipset, where four of its cores are clocked at 2.1 GhZ, while the other four have been cranked up to 1.7 GHz. Available in a choice of 3GB/4GB RAM, one gets 32 GB onboard memory on the former, while the latter gets 64 gigs, expandable till 128 GB via a microSD card.

The phone’s rear camera is a dual-lens unit, which gets a 12MP+2MP combination with an LED Flash. This setup enables a wide aperture range of between f/0.95 – f/16, for that ‘Bokeh’ effect. The front lens is an 8MP unit.

Supporting 4G LTE, the Honor 6X is powered by a 3340 mAh battery which supports fast charging and is available in shades of Grey, Gold and Silver. Connectivity options include WiFi, A-GPS, infrared, Bluetooth 4.2 and a microUSB port.

The phone will be available initially with 3 months additional warranty and a touchscreen replacement within the first month of purchase.
