Kanye West is bestowing the world a video game based on his mother

Love him or hate him, but you can’t just ignore Kanye West. After conquering the music game and the fashion game, Yeezy is following in the footsteps of his wife, Kim Kardashian, by creating a video game. West stopped by The Breakfast Club radio show yesterday to talk about his Adidas fashion line, his upcoming album, and Kim Kardashian. Near the very end of the interview, he slyly mentioned that he’s working on a video game based on his recent single, “Only One.”

Designed by Yeezy himself, the game’s inspiration, “Only One,” imagines a conversation between West’s daughter and his mother, who died in 2007.

West gave a vague description of the game, which he says he’s been working on for six months. “The idea is that it’s my mother going through the gates of heaven,” he said, “and you’ve got to bring her to the highest gate of heaven by holding her to the light.” According to Kanye, the game has been in development for the past 6 months. He also talks about the origins of the song’s name in that it’s the meaning of his name.

There’s no official release date for the game, and it’s unclear how close it is to completion. To be honest, it will probably be some mobile game garbage that makes millions. If you’re still interested, check out the full interview below. The video game conversation starts around the 56-minute mark.
