Lenovo launched two new products at Barcelona, the Moto G5 and the Moto G5 Plus. In all probability, both devices will be available in India by March 2017. The Moto G5 is priced at EUR 199 (around Rs. 14,000) while prices for the Moto G5 Plus will start at EUR 279 ( Rs. 15,300). Both devices will come with their internals wrapped in an all-metal body and will be available in variable RAM/ROM combinations. Both Moto G5 and Moto G5 Plus come with Motorola’s Moto Display, which allows users to get a preview of their notifications without having to unlock their smartphone.
Both devices will run Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box and will be available in shades of Lunar Grey and Fine Gold. Google Assistant now comes to the Moto family, which means, users will be able to send messages, make calls, navigate, and manage everyday tasks by just holding the Home button. Screens on both the handsets get Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and water-repellent coating. A fingerprint sensor is available on both the phones and comes with ‘One button Nav’, which allows screen navigation through the scanner.
Moto G5
The Moto G5 comes with 5-inch display and is powered by a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 430 processor. There are 2/3GB RAM variants along with 16GB/32GB storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB. A 2800mAh removable battery supports fast charging. Optics on the Moto G5 include a 13MP rear camera with PDAF, f/2.0 aperture, and dual-LED flash, and a 5-megapixel wide-angle front camera for selfies.
Moto G5 Plus
The Moto G5 Plus with a 5.2-inch full HD display and is powered by a 2.0 GHz, octa-core, Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor and a 650 MHz Adreno 506 GPU. It will come with 2 GB/4 GB RAM variants, and 32 GB/64 GB internal storage, expandable up to 256 GB. The battery on the G5 Plus is 3000 mAh. Optics on the G5 Plus includes a 12MP dual-pixel rear camera with F/1.7 aperture for faster focus and better low light photography. It also supports 4k video recording and gets a dual-LED flash. The front snapper is a 5MP lens. Powering all the hardware on the Moto G5 Plus is a 3000 mAh battery.
