Heavens be praised. Square Enix has just announced that the previously Xbox-exclusive Rise of the Tomb Raider will be coming to PC and PlayStation next year. The game will be coming to PC in early 2016, after the release of the game on Xbox One and Xbox 360 in November 2015. No exact date for the PC release has been given. Sadly, those who want to play the highly-anticipated game on PlayStation 4 will have to wait much longer: a year, to be exact.Developer Crystal Dynamics says the game will have Xbox exclusivity for a year, meaning PS4 gamers won’t likely be playing until Nov. 2016.
Below is the official synopsis for Rise of the Tomb Raider, courtesy Crystal Dynamics:[blockquote type=”left”]In the critically acclaimed Tomb Raider, Lara Croft survived a harrowing experience only to be discredited as part of a cover up. Last December, Square Enix confirmed that its “partnership with Microsoft on Rise of the Tomb Raider does have a duration” but the publisher added, “we aren’t discussing those details at this time and are focused on collaborating to deliver a great game on Xbox One and Xbox 360.”
