But the Assassin’s Creed movie, based on Ubisoft’s award-winning franchise, is shaping up to be something to look out for. For starters, it has got 20th Century Fox behind it, and they’re on something of a roll with the X-Men franchise and some more. Then there’s the news that it stars Michael Fassbender in the titular role of the assassin, and he simply prints his own money at this point.
Well, the studios behind the venture have revealed the release date now. It is December 21, 2016, well in time for the holiday season. Australian indie film director Justin Kurzel is currently on board to helm the project. Wait and watch!
