Here’s the first full trailer for Marvel Entertainment’s upcoming movie, Ant-Man. Starring Paul Rudd, Michael Douglas and Evangeline Lily, Ant-Man will hit the theaters on 17th July 2015 in Western countries. Despite being touted as the first movie of Phase 3, it is now confirmed to be the last movie in Phase Two of Marvel’s Cinematic Universe. The movie was attached to British auteur Edgar Wright of the Cornetto trilogy and Scott Pilgrim fame, and fans were genuinely taken aback when Peyton Reed took over directing duties, following the former’s creative difference with the execs over at Marvel.
The trailer depicts what fans of comic books already know; Paul Rudd as Scott Lang is a convicted criminal with a good heart who is given a second lease of life by inventor Hank Pym, played by Douglas. Using Pym’s technology that allows its user to decrease in size but increase in strength, they save the world. Or whatever it is that superheroes do besides canoodling with female superstars.
