Rumors have been going around the internet from quite some time now regarding the oncoming oPad Pro sporting USB 3.0 connections on a lightning port. All a long wait, Apple Inc has finally confirmed the same through press releases. The iPad Pro will be launched with a 12.9 inch screen and will carry a lightning port which will support high speed file transfers with its USB 3.0 adapter. The iPad Pro was launched in the beginning of September and it was much criticized for lacking in the support for new USB standards.
The lightning ports on all other iPhones and iPads are as of yet only compatible with USB 2.0 and do not support file transfers are the norm set by USB 3.0 around the world. The data transfer rates are to be above the mark of 60 MB per second which is almost double than the earlier devices supporting USB 2.0 speeds. However there is a catch for the users. The latest iPad does support USB 3.0 standard but the lightning cable being shipped with the device is still USB 2.0 compatible only. This means that users will have to wait a little while longer for Apple to start shipping the lightning cable with USB 3.0 support to be able to seamless transfer files at a higher speed.

The most notable fact is that the device is only 6.9 mm thin and weighs only 1.57 pounds. The display is a 12.9 inch screen with 2732 X 2048 resolution 264 ppi.
