China-based Oppomart listed all the features of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 5 flagship smart phone on its website. The listing page has since been taken down but not before the specifications went viral all over the internet. The authenticity of the specifications can be verified once the phone is officially launched in the market, but there is no reason to doubt these specifications as past experiences with such listings on e-commerce sites have been found reliable. However, with the listing put up on the website, one can be sure that the much awaited launch is not very far away.
According to the Oppomart page, Xiaomi Mi 5 will have a 5.5-inch screen with 2K resolution and will be powered by the recently launched 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 chipset. The phone will be available in 16 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB storage options. All the variants will have 4 GB of RAM. It is expected to be a huge success like its predecessors have been and so Xiaomi is leaving no stone unturned to provide the best of features in its flagship smart phone.
Xiaomi will reportedly use Android 5.1-based MIUI 6 in Mi 5. The smartphone will also have a 20MP rear camera and 8MP front snapper. The cameras are expected to be at par and even better than the Mi 4 and Mi 4i. Having said that, the new Mi 5 should do away with the need to own a digital camera. This shouls certainly sound sweet to those interested in photography.
The new flagship device by Xiaomi will be 4G enabled and will be powered by a 3800 mAh battery. The users will get an option of either black or white colors to choose from.
