Earlier this year, Google stopped the sale of its Head-Mounted computers so that they can come up with a much more improved version. Well, it has come back with a bang. The google “Enterprise Edition” made its mark earlier and even now seems to receive a positive response from the users.
As per the pictures filed with FCC (Federal Communication Commission), there is an additional hinge attached which enables users to fold it down just like the regular pair of glasses. It uses an improvised hardware and is powered by Intel Atom Processor. It features a better battery life and a 5 Ghz Wi-Fi band for wireless connectivity. The chip is new and has a better performance and new Glass boasts which provides better heat management.
The prism is also larger in size as revealed by FCC images. The power buttons are also moved to the back of the device. When the camera is used, the front light turns on. Google has also made external battery which gets attached to the device magnetically. The device is waterproof and also provides protection from debris and other substances. The exact release date is not yet known but as per sources it will be soon.
According to research firms and analysts, glass better fits at workplace as compared to general consumer. Google glass was used by some construction project manager for improving safety and efficiency. It was used by teachers to help teaching in online classes and by fire-fighters in building apps that helps fire-fighters navigate complex situations. The device is also being used in healthcare vertical to access critical patient’s information. It’s also being used for Policing services in Dubai. The popularity of the device is also increasing among sports teams and broadcasters to get fans nearer to the action.
