ASUS is going to launch a new smart phone, the new ZenFone Zoom in India this month. As per a statement released to the press, the phone is going to have the most advanced photography features embedded in it.
The phone has a 5.5-inch full-HD display with a resolution of 1080×1920 pixels. The screen has Corning Gorilla Glass 4 which provides protection to the display and prevents scratches to its surface. The phone has an internal memory of 64 GB which is expandable up to 128 GB via microSD card. The phone is powered by a quad-core 2.3GHz Intel Atom Z3580 processor with 4GB of RAM. The phone is a single sim phone and runs on Android 5.0 Lollipop. The phone has a dimension of 158.9×78.8×11.95 mm and weighs around 185 grams. It will be available in Meteorite Black and Glacier White colour variants.
The phone has a 13-megapixel camera at the back that has an aperture of f/2.7 to f/4.8. The phone also features 3X optical zoom, laser auto-focus, a 10-element lens with optical image stabilisation (OIS) and dual-colour Real Tone flash. The device has a thickness of just 11.95 mm. The phone is the world’s thinnest 3X optical zoom enabled smart phone. It offers 12X zoom-in effect. The phone also features a 5-megapixel camera at the front.
Asus ZenFone Zoom has the usual connectivity options like Bluetooth, GPRS / EDGE, Wi-Fi, Micro-USB, 3G and 4G. It was also confirmed by Asus Taiwan listing that the phone is also going to support Indian 4G LTE bands. The phone has a 3000mAh battery, expected to provide an average battery life. There are many sensors that are included by the phone i.e. proximity sensor, gyroscopic sensor, accelerometer, ambient-light sensor and digital compass. The phone comes with a price tag of around INR 19,500 or US $292. The phone has an amazing gaming performance. It provides value for money to its users.
