The upcoming Xiaomi Mi5 that was launched in Delhi with a price tag of INR 24,999 is expected to go on sale from April 6th. The device comes with a 3 GB RAM and 32 GB inbuilt storage. With the launch in Delhi, India is the only market outside of China, where this device will now be available. The flagship deice of the company boasts of several features and high end specifications. Below is a compilation of some of the features that are worth the limelight that the device is gathering with its impending launch into the Indian market.

On the design front, it is quite obvious that the Mi5 borrows heavily from its cousin Mi Note series. The 3D glass curve design is also present however it is more rounded than was seen on the Note series smart phones. The metal frame on the sides merges seamlessly with the glass panels, offering a more complete look. The Mi5 is just 7.25 mm thick and weighs just 129 grams, making it quite elegant. The camera is flushed with the back panel, adding onto the smoothness of the device.

The new Mi5 comes with a 5.5 inch full HD display panel. The phone is available in 3 inbuilt storage variants – 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB. However, the Indian market will only see the availability of the 32 GB variant with 3 GB of RAM. No news on the availability of the other variants is currently available now. Other features include a 3000 mAh battery, Snapdragon 820 chipset clocked at 2.2 GHz. In terms of connectivity, the phone supports 4G LTE along with the usual array of options like WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS, etc. A notable feature is the inclusion of a home button on this device which also works as a finger print scanner.
