Yu Televentures which is Micromax subsidiary has sent out media invites for an event that will be held on May 19. In this event the company will launch its new flagship smartphone that is Yunicorn. The name of the new smart phone was confirmed by Yu before the official announcement was made in the event. The invitation read join us in the unveiling of the phone that will redefine flagships. It is already confirmed by the company that the next flagship will run Android with a deep integration of Around Yu, a service aggregator platform. This platform was the year before along with Yutopia smart phone. It is expected that Yu will sell Yutopia smart phone only through online channels.
Recently the company had given details about their Project Highway, which describes the way the company wants to enable the community developers and others to contribute to the company’s source code. While talking about the new smart phone Yu Sharma had described it saying it is insanely beautiful and it will break some hearts. It will break records, it will break the conventional, it will break the rules…WAIT, it will break the flagships.
The next to be launched Yu smart phone was leaked. It is codenamed Yu5530 and was spotted in a Geekbench benchmark giving details of the internal organs of the handset. It is expected that the will reveal the Yu5530 as the next Yunicorn smart phone by the end of this month. The benchmark listing says that the Yu5530 will have an octa-core MediaTek Helio P10 (MT6755M) processor clocked at 1.8 GHz, and featured with 4 GB of RAM.
