The iconic flip phone, which had captured the market, could be poised to return – and we hope, in a slightly new and sleeker avatar. Motorola seems to be conveying this message if a new teaser video posted by the company is to be believed. On Thursday, May 19, Motorola Mobility had posted a new video on YouTube along with a cryptic message, which suggests that the iconic Razr could possibly be making a comeback very soon.
The company makes a statement – Flip back to the Razr days of yesteryear and get ready for the future. The teaser video from Motorola Mobility is 45 seconds long and is also accompanied by the header: Moto 06.09.16. This may suggest that the company is gearing up to launch a new flip phone in the market on the above-mentioned date – that is June 9, 2016. The teaser video on YouTube makes it all-too-apparent that the Moto Razr flip phone is in the process of getting ready. The video shows a high school student speaking on the handset as she makes her way to class. She is being watched by the school superintendent and as she walks by. One can also see a guy opening his locker and fishing out the flip phone to take a quick selfie.
The flip phone from Motorola seems to be everywhere as all the students seem to be using the Razr, just as was the case in the past when the Razr was quite a rage. The video ends with the message “TTYL” which is an acronym for “Talk to You Later”, and the Motorola logo accompanied by the above-mentioned date.
