Swipe, in spite of not being the most prolific smart phone manufacturer around, have consistently released a number of devices over the past couple of years. The latest from their belt is the new Swipe Elite Plus. The device is headed to India and boasts of quite good specifications. The last time the company released a device, it was the Swipe Elite Note. It was launched in India back in April. That handset surprised us due to its specifications. The Swipe Elite Plus is a step under that particular handset, but it still has quite a few things to offer. It’s also around INR 1,000 cheaper than its predecessor model and so users can save a few bucks if they can live without the additional RAM and a slightly smaller display.

Swipe has opted to keep things simple for the new Swipe Elite Plus. So users get a 5-inch standard FHD display and a well to do octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz. Users will also get 2 GB of RAM to help push those pixels around. And while the inbuilt storage space is listed at 16 GB, it is expandable up to 64 GB with a microSD card slot.

The upcoming device from Swipe has a solid sensor on its backside with a 13 MP Samsung camera with an LED flash. The secondary camera is more than sufficient as well at 8 MP. As far as the connectivity aspect is concerned, users get Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi, GPS, USB OTG, and 4G LTE. The smart phone comes with a reasonably sized 3,050 mAh battery. The device runs Android 5.1 with the Freedom OS applied on the top. While the Swipe Elite Plus isn’t ready as far as complete production is concerned, the release date is close at hand. The smart phone is expected to make its debut in the country on June 6th when it will be available in Midnight Blue or Ivory White color options. It is expected to arrive with a price tag of INR 6,999 through Flipkart.
