Mark Zuckerberg: Facebook Users Will be Able to Communicate using Telepathy

Mark Zuckerberg claims that in the near future Facebook users will share telepathic thoughts and feelings to each other. On his own Facebook page, in a live Q&A session the social network’s CEO, Mark Zuckerberg made the statement that users will communicate using telepathy. Facebook constantly brings in new and improved features for its users. A new and improved feature that is Hide from Timeline, is currently being tested by the social media giant. It is also testing other functionalities like wishing users on their birthdays right from the notification drop down menus, and getting notifications when a user’s profile loads slow because of low internet speeds.

Taking into account inevitable privacy concerns, Zuckerberg admitted that it would probably take decades to manage to transfer thoughts between users. In his statement he said that you are going to just be able to capture a thought, what you’re thinking or feeling in kind of its ideal and perfect form in your head, and be able to share that with the world in a format where they can get that. There’s some crazy brain research going on that suggests we might be able to do this at some point.

In his Question and Answer session where he discussed potential new Facebook features, he also spoke about the positive collective Facebook reaction received to the Orlando shootings. He said that it is very important that people start thinking in terms of citizens of global community instead of thinking in terms of a nation. They need to progress using innovations in technology.
