First we were told that there definitely was no PC version of Grand Theft Auto V at all, and then that there would be, but only after the PS4 and Xbox One versions released. And now the latest news is that the PC release of GTA V has been delayed, because the game still needs “testing and polish” before we can play it—on March 24th instead of this month.
“Our apologies for the slight shift in the date but the game requires a few extra weeks of testing and polish to make it as good as can be,” Rockstar said in a statement. “Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice we make only when we know it is in the best interests of the game and our fans. Thanks everyone for your understanding and we assure you these few extra weeks will be worth it when the game does arrive in March.”
The company added that GTA Online will launch alongside GTA V on PC, and will support up to 30 players. The online game will include the new Online Heists.
“Online Heists for consoles will be launching in the coming weeks ahead of the PC launch,” Rockstar noted.
The PC version will include triple monitor support, up to 4k resolution, and a video editor which will allow gamers to record, edit, and upload their gameplay.
