On company’s S Health website Samsung accidentally leaked images of its upcoming Gear Fit 2 fitness and Gear IconX Bluetooth ear buds. Nearly two years ago Samsung had launched its Gear Fit. Then, they had hinted and shown some images of mobiles, that they plan to launch in future. They had not given out details of the device, though their reports talked of big improvements in its Gear Fit 2 compared to their then available models. Reports revealed that Gear Fit 2 aimed to feature a 1.84-inch AMOLED display with 4 GB internal memory and built-in GPS. They will have water resistant fitness band and other fitness-related apps.
Actual information, as to when the official announcement about the device will be made is not known. The images that were leaked are now not available online. The Phandroid reports Gear IconX will be truly wireless ear buds with its own battery and wireless connectivity. Fitness gears have become quite a trend these days with several electronic companies coming up with their iterations of fitness gears that can be worn on the wrist. Almost all leading mobile manufacturers have brought out their fitness gears. Xiaomi, Apple, FitBit, etc are among the renowned few which are readily available in the market.
These fitness trackers are loaded with a variety of sensors that can track a person’s movement including walking and running and work out. Some of the gears are also water resistant and can therefore also be used while swimming. The gears are loaded with sensors that track the user’s sleep patterns as well.
