Airtel Partners with Apple to Offer Apple TV+ and Apple Music to Subscribers in India

Bharti Airtel has announced an exclusive partnership with Apple to bring special offers on Apple TV+ and Apple Music to its subscribers in India. As part of this collaboration, Airtel will bundle these premium Apple services with select prepaid, postpaid, and Wi-Fi plans, providing added value to its mobile and broadband customers.

Expanding Airtel’s Digital Offering

In its latest move to enhance digital services, Airtel revealed that customers subscribed to its Airtel Xstream Wi-Fi service will soon gain access to Apple TV+ content as part of select Wi-Fi plans. While Airtel Xstream already offers subscriptions to popular OTT platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, Sony LIV, Disney+ Hotstar, and Netflix, Apple TV+ was previously not included. Now, with this new partnership, Apple’s streaming service will be integrated into premium Airtel Wi-Fi and postpaid plans, expanding the content library available to Airtel users.

Oliver Schusser, Apple’s Vice President of Apple Music, Apple TV+, Sports, and Beats, expressed excitement about the partnership, stating, “We are thrilled that Airtel customers in India will soon be able to enjoy all of the incredible content on Apple TV+ and Apple Music.”

Apple Music for Mobile Subscribers

Airtel mobile users will also benefit from this partnership, with access to Apple Music bundled into their plans. This offer will be integrated with Airtel’s Wynk Premium subscription, allowing customers to explore Apple Music’s vast library, enjoy offline playback, experience lossless audio quality, and utilize features like time-synced lyrics.

Pricing and Availability

Currently, Apple TV+ subscriptions in India are priced at ₹99 per month, while Apple Music starts at ₹59 per month for students, ₹99 per month for individuals, and ₹149 per month for families. However, Airtel has confirmed that these Apple services will be made available exclusively to its subscribers at no additional cost, though the exact launch details are yet to be disclosed.

Conclusion

Airtel’s partnership with Apple represents a significant enhancement of its digital offerings, providing customers with access to Apple’s premium entertainment and music services. As Airtel continues to expand its 5G coverage across India, these bundled services are expected to offer even greater value to its growing user base, further solidifying its position as a leading telecom provider in the country.
