AmpMe brings in ‘My Library’ Feature

AmpMe is an application that lets users sync the music playing in their device with other users nearby or even elsewhere to form a giant synced speaker. Imagine listening to the same music at exactly the same time in perfect sync with your group of friends, family or colleagues. AmpMe does exactly that. The latest update now lets you play music that is stored on your device. With this new feature, all your favorite songs or any music file on your phone can be synced across a large group on with devices running on Android and iOS.

Earlier users could only stream music from Sound Cloud and sync it with friends. AmpMe uses audio matching technology to synchronize music across devices such as smart phones, tablets and even Bluetooth speakers. The app creates distributed surround sound in perfect sync. In fact using this app can even do away with the need for loudspeakers in discotheques and parties as the combined volume of each phone can create a similar effect. AmpMe does not use Bluetooth or WiFi to sync music so that the app works across both Android and iOS seamlessly. It relies upon a server centric proprietary audio matching technology to achieve perfect synchronization.

The host is able to control the playlist, which can be prepared from a list of favorite songs, artists and albums via Sound Cloud or the locally available songs on the device. Once the host hits ‘play’, friends can join by entering a unique four digit party code. For the devices to sync together, the friends need to place their devices’ microphone close to the host’s speaker and within seconds, the party is surrounded by sound. With the surge in demand for this app and special requests made by users, it is now available in eight languages including Arabic, Chinese, French, Hindi, Japanese, Portuguese, Spanish and English.
