After Apple, Samsung could let go of the 3.5 mm jack for the Galaxy S8

The year 2017 will be interesting for both users, as well as phone manufacturers. And if a recent rumor is to be believed, the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S8 could wear Apple’s shoes and ditch the 3.5 mm audio jack in favor of wireless earbuds. However, only time will tell if the earbuds will be an in-box accessory or would you have to spend an additional amount for the luxury of being wire free.

To be unveiled at the MWC 2017, a lot rides on the Galaxy S8’s shoulders, as it will have to fight an inferno left behind by the Note 7’s battery.  Reportedly, Samsung is also working with their newly acquired – Harman Industries to develop a new stereo speaker setup that will be fitted in the S8.

There are strong rumors that the Samsung Galaxy S8 will also ditch the home button, while the fingerprint sensor will be somehow embedded within the display. The display will be crisper, and more vivid in comparison to any of the screens we’ve seen on Samsung devices until now, whereas, the body will be constructed from premium materials and will in all probability be water and dust proof. The flagship phone will reportedly be powered by a Snapdragon 835 Soc, 6 GB RAM, upto 256 GB of onboard memory and a battery that knows how to keep its cool.
