Bringing back an iPhone 5 during iPhone 6 life cycle can be confusing for customers. The phone will replace iPhone 5S. The design of the device is similar to iPhone 6 models. It will sport a power button on the side which only iPhone 6 models possess. It will have a slightly more curved 2.5D glass. It features a 12MP rear camera. The phone is powered by an Apple A8 chipset with the M8 co-processor. The phone packs a 1642mAh battery. It will be available in two storage capacity variants- 16GB & 64GB. It will also feature Wi-Fi 802.11 ac, Live Photos support, Bluetooth 4.2 and more. The phone is to be priced between USD 400 and USD 500 i.e. between INR 27,000 and INR 33,000 approximately.

The lower price is to target the mid to low segment which will help Apple to increase sales in emerging countries like China and India. 4-inch iPhone shipments are also believed to grow by 131 percent year-over-year to 37 million units by 2016.
