Apple is known to regularly update its portfolio and come up with newer and better versions of their products from time to time. The updated line of the 12-inch MacBook is finally launched and is now available in India. The new line has a host of improvements and new features in terms of both hardware and software over its earlier models. The all new MacBook model is made available in, currently, two variations. The base variant which has a 1.1 GHz dual-core Intel Core m3 processor with 8 GB of internal memory and 256 GB of flash storage has been priced at INR 1,06,900. The next version, which is slightly more advanced than the base version and has 1.2 GHz dual-core Intel Core m5 processor coupled with 8 GB memory and 512 GB flash storage has been priced at INR 1,29,900.

Apart from the flash storage option and measly difference in the computing speed of their processors, there is hardly any difference between both the versions. The MacBook comes with a 12-inch Retina display which has a resolution of 2304 x 1440 pixels (226 ppi). The latest MacBook is credited for being the thinnest and the lightest of the Apple MacBooks to date and yet boast of much better performance.
The MacBook is hardly 0.14 to 0.52 inches thick and weighs 0.92 kg, which is very light compared to traditional laptops. In terms of battery, the latest from Apple boasts of a built-in 41.4-watt-hour lithium-polymer battery which is capable of over 10 hours battery life and 30 days of standby time. The OS powering this MacBook is Apple’s OS X El Capitan. The MacBook also comes packed in with a 480p FaceTime camera. The company has made the device available in 4 different colours: Rose Gold, which is considered as Apple’s latest favourite, Gold, Silver and Space Grey. With no moving parts or vents, the new MacBook is fanless for silent and efficient performance.
