The spaceship lookalike campus that Apple is building in California is now nearing completion and is all set to be inaugurated much before its set deadline of 2016 end. A media report has confirmed that the original deadline for the completion of the project was set at end of 2016 or early 2017. However, seeing the progress, it is fair to assume that the campus may even begin operations before the previously anticipated deadline. The Verge carried a report which read, a new drone video shows Apple’s massive campus coming together. Yes, it looks like a UFO. And, yes, it is estimated to cost close to $5 billion dollars.

The drone video shows the glass and solar panels being put in place, whereas just a few months ago, the construction of the buildings appeared to be in its primary stages. The video also discloses the auditorium where the company is expected to hold its events in the future. With the completion of this campus, Apple will be the first company to have made a spaceship lookalike at such a huge scale and costing such a huge sum of money. A few months more and we should be able to see final pictures of the said campus.

Apple had recently announced a plan to sell refurbished or used iPhones, which met with stiff opposition from other major players in the smart phone segment. Some of the players who voiced their opinion against the said move are Samsung, Micromax, Intex and Karbonn. Ravinder Zutshi, chairman of the newly formed Mobile and Communications Council raised a question when Apple applied to be the first company to import and sell used iPhones in 2015. He questioned, why even consider allowing import of used phones when import of other used goods such as cars are precluded by 300 percent duty levies?
