ASUS has rolled out an FOTA update, through which VOLTE support will be available throughout its ZenFone 3 range. Besides these, the update will also spill over to the ZenFone Max (ZC550KL (/(2GB/16GB) / (2GB/32GB) / (3GB/32GB), ZenFone 2 Laser (ZE550KL (2GB/16GB) (3GB/16GB) and the ZenFone Go 5.0 LTE (ZB500KL (/2G/16G). Update for the ZenFone Selfie (ZD 551KL) and the Zenfone 3 Ultra (ZU680KL) will be available soon. Below is the list of handsets which will be receiving the update.
In the run up to the MWC 2017, the Taiwanese smartphone maker is expected to unveil the ZenFone 3 Go at the upcoming event. A smartphone for those who are on a budget, the device is expected to feature a 5-inch HD display and could be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 SoC with 2GB of RAM. Default internal storage could be 16 GB, with a microSD slot for expansion. The Asus ZenFone 3 Go could sport a 13-megapixel rear camera with a 1.4 μm pixel size, while the front snapper could be a 5-megapixel lens with a soft LED flash for low-light selfies.
ASUS India also shared a video recently where they dissected the ZenFone 3S Max to make the first ever teardown video of a smartphone in India. The ASUS ZenFone 3S MAX is the company’s first device launch in India for 2017. Wrapped in a metal unibody, the ASUS Zenfone 3S MAX features a massive 5000 mAh battery and runs Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box. Priced at Rs. 14,999, the phone is available in shades of Black and Gold.
