Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra phablet now available in India at INR 49,999

After launching two variants of the all-new Zenfone 3 Deluxe, Asus has introduced another member to the Zenfone 3 range that is available in India. Presenting the Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra! Just like the Deluxe, even the Ultra comes with a ‘World’s First’ decoration. The smartphone brand states that the Zenfone 3 Ultra is the world’s first smartphone to feature a 6.8” FHD IPS display with a 4K TV-Grade image processor and Tru2Life+ technology. It also offers a unique audio setup that comprises of Dual 5-magnet stereo speakers and DTS Headphone:X tech with 7.1 Channel virtualized audio.

The Zenfone 3 Ultra is launched in India for a price of INR 49,999 and is available in two colors – Titanium Grey and Glacier Silver. Like the other Ultras from other brands, even the Zenfone 3 Ultra is a big screen phablet with a huge 6.8-inch Full-HD (1920 x 1080) display on the front. Asus claims that the screen is vivid and vibrant that users won’t have a problem even under harsh lighting conditions.

As mentioned earlier the phablet features the ASUS-exclusive ‘Tru2Life+’ video tech and has a 4K UHD TV-grade image processor sourced from PixelWorks. Once again, just like the Deluxe, we have a full aluminum alloy unibody with no visible antenna on it. Under the hood is a 64-bit Qualcomm ‘Octa-core’ Snapdragon 652 SoC that employs a Quad-core ARM Cortex A72 and a Quad-core ARM Cortex A53 clocked at 1.8GHz and 1.2GHz respectively. This CPU is bundled with Adreno 510 GPU. The RAM is 4GB while the internal storage offered is of 64 GB ROM that can expandable up to 2TB via Micro SD card. As for the software, we have Android v6.0 Marshmallow with ASUS ZenUI 3.0 on top.

Coming to the camera optics, the Ultra features a 23MP ASUS PixelMaster 3.0 primary camera Sony IMX318 sensor. It gets ƒ/2.0, 6-element Largan lens, 0.03 second TriTech Autofocus (Contrast AF/ PDAF/ 2^nd Gen Laser AF), Dual tone LED flash and a Color correction sensor. The camera is benefitted by both 4-axis photo Optical image Stabilization and 3-axis video Electronic Image Stabilization. On the front is an 8MP unit with 84-degree wide field-of-view, f/2.0 aperture, and a host of PixelMaster 3.0 camera modes.

The sensor set consists of an Accelerator, E-Compass, Gyroscope, Proximity sensor, Hall sensor, Ambient light sensor, RGB sensor, IR, and a Fingerprint sensor. The smartphablet sports a 4600mAh Li-Po battery that supports Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0. The phone can also double-up as a power bank.
