Batman: Arkham knight returns, fails to seize the opportunity!

The PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight finally went back on digital shelves yesterday following the four months developers spent tweaking it, many PC gamers express that their disastrous experience remains unchanged.

Soon after the game returned, comments on various blogs by gamers reveal problems including stuttering, plummeting frame rates and freezing are still prevalent. The game publishers Warner Bros. issued a blog post warning that a ‘hard drive paging issue’ may occur with some GPUs on Windows 7 after extended gameplay sessions. They recommended that anyone who encounters this problem can resolve it by simply re-launching the game. That could get frustrating, considering the length of some of the game’s missions, and how long the game takes to load up.

The blog further dropped a bomb on windows 10 users stating that having at least 12GB of system RAM on a PC allows the game to operate without paging and provides a smoother gameplay experience. Bummer alert! : The recommended system RAM for Batman: Arkham Knight is 8GB and the game runs super-smooth on PS4 and Xbox One. Both of which have 8GB of RAM.

To pacify the upset gamers, Warner Bros. announced that anyone who owns Arkham Knight or purchases it by November 16 will get free copies of Batman: Arkham Asylum GOTY, Batman: Arkham City GOTY, Batman: Arkham Origins, and Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate from The Batman: Arkham library . Warner said it hopes to have the freebies out to everyone by December. Arkham Knight also now supports ‘all add-on content that has been released thus far for console,’ so you can throw more money at that if you’d like, although no discounts!!

Also thanking the game community for their a great help in getting the game up and running, Rocksteady will be creating a new ‘Community Challenge Pack’ that will be given free to owners of the Batman: Arkham Knight game in January 2016.  As thanks to the Steam Community, PC players will have access to the maps for a week before they hit the consoles!!

A Warner Bros. rep said “We are still working with our GPU partners to add full support for SLI and Crossfire. In addition, we are working with these partners to address stability issues on certain cards related to the latest drivers.

The initial reviews of the Batman: Arkham Knight after the re-release are so far negative, but in order to learn the how the latest patch has improved the gameplay, the game must be put to an intense testing against it’s initial released version. Stay tuned for more updates!!
