Interactive Youtube videos are the newest craze. From the Civic Type R video which showed you the contrasting life of a man by the day and night to the more recent Multi Angle Experiment, Youtube is really pushing the boundaries in the interactive video space.
As another new experiment, BBC, along with Youtube has come up with a video that allows you to mix reactive chemicals on-screen and create explosions. The concept comprises of a variety of substances stored in jars on top of a table. You can pick and choose, mixing substances you think are reactive to create a reaction that turns into an explosion. Of course, a little knowledge of chemistry helps, but isn’t necessary. You can just mix it up and go blasting.
The reaction once over is duly explained by someone termed a ‘tame chemical scientist’, something that reminds us of the BBC Top Gear where Clarkson called Stig, the show’s helmet clad, undisclosed test driver as his tame racing driver.
So go on, have a blast, quite literally. The video also allows you to compete with your friends for creating the biggest bang of them all. Don’t forget letting us know if your manage to discover the next big explosive, though, on one of our social channels. Here’s the video
