Blackberry accidentally tweets from an iPhone; deletes it instantly

We all make faux passes everyday. But now, with the advent of social media and usage trackers, it is visible to a wider audience once you commit one. That’s what happened to at least one social media manager inside Blackberry’s team who happens to prefer doing her mobile work from an iPhone.

The beleaguered smartphone maker recently tweeted a typical PR spout of its smartphones. Nothing to see there, but its followers were quick to point out that the tweet was sent from an iPhone. Undeniably embarrassed, Blackberry quickly deleted the offending tweet, but not before it has been screenshot-ed and reshared by many.

It’s not the first time BlackBerry has had to deal with the public relations gaffe. Back in 2013, just after BlackBerry unveiled Alicia Keyes as their “global creative director”, she posted a tweet that was sent from an iPhone.

So maybe Blackberry maybe still great for business, but still, childish things like tweeting are best done from an iPhone?
