Microsoft has now announced the availability of the Box app for Windows 10 users. Box offers content management services to individuals, teams and organizations. Box users can create, share and edit across devices. With the launch of Box app for Windows 10, a large number of users can now benefit from such content management service. Duncan Fisher who works at the product management team at Box, believes that it is critical for Box to ensure that users remain connected across platforms and with the widespread use of Windows 10, it is imperative to launch Box on such a popular platform.
Box app on Windows 10 promises usual features like content management across devices such as Windows PCs, Windows phones and tablets. The app also allows users to share files with anyone across all platforms. The app allows users to work on different file types such as PDFs, Office files, images and others. Users can also receive real time updates on collaborations made on office files across users and devices.
Microsoft too has been pushing for Cloud storage technology and the launch of Box app for Windows 10 is a fillip in the same direction. The Box app on Windows 10 lays focus on multi tasking too and users are able to resize the screen to as big or as small as they need. This feature allows users to simultaneously work on other programs and applications alongside Box. This content sharing app also mentions the ability to pin certain content and Box files right into the Windows start screen using Windows 10 Live Tools.
With the focus growing on cloud storage technology, we can expect similar apps and features in Windows in the coming future. The launch of the Box app may just be the beginning of much more to come and users can expect to get better applications to work on in future.
