To be launched in China later this year, the Xiaomi Mi Mix White was unveiled at the CES 2017. Made in collaboration with French designer Philippe Stark, it first made its appearance as a concept phone in October last year. Available in Black until now, the Xiaomi Mi MIX was launched in two variants – 4GB RAM with 128GB storage priced at CNY 3,499 (approximately Rs. 34,500), and 6GB RAM with 256GB storage priced at CNY 3,999 (approximately Rs. 39,500).
With a 91.3 % screen-to-body ration, the Xiaomi Mi MIX’s key feature is its near border-less display with curved edges on top. Wrapped in a ceramic body, a notable feature of the smartphone is the piezoelectric acoustic ceramic earpiece speaker, along with a front facing ultrasonic proximity sensor.
Featuring a 362 ppi, 6.4-inch display with a 1080×2040 resolution, the Xiaomi Mi MIX is powered by a 2.35GHz quad-core Snapdragon 821 SoC, coupled with 4 or 6 GB of DDR4 RAM. The Mi MIX smartphone sports a 16-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, an f/2.0 aperture, and dual-tone LED flash. It bears a 5-megapixel front camera.
Weighing 209 gms, the phone is powered by a 4400mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support. It measures 158.8 x 81.9 x 7.9, and supports 4G LTE. Connectivity options include GPS/ A-GPS, NFC with Mi Pay support, Bluetooth v4.2, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, and a USB Type-C port. The Xiaomi Mi MIX smartphone also features an accelerometer, ambient light sensor, barometer, electronic compass, and gyroscope.
