If we are a VoLTE fan we will be able to pick one easily as very soon almost two million Reliance Jio-powered iPhones will be available in the India market. During his visit to India Tim Cook Apple’s CEO is said to have signed a long term strategic partnership with Reliance Industries with the aim of boosting iPhone sales and providing a further boost to the new telecom service. This decision of entering into a partnership was taken in a meeting between Tim Cook and Mukesh Ambani the RIL chairman. Cook arrived late on Tuesday in India and immediately the next day, the Apple boss started his tour of India by entering into the partnership. To globally boost the dwindling number of iPhone sales, Cook has come on a charm offensive tour to Asia.

Today India is one of the fastest growing market where smart phone is concerned. In the global market India has taken over US and now holds the second position in the smart phone market. Along with Jio-powered iPhones both of them have already decided to arrange for an enterprise solution for Reliance’s retail outlets. To improve consumer experience, iPhones and iPads will be provided to the shop-floor employees by the Cupertino-based technology major. Taking into consideration the fact that Apple’s iPhones bundled with Jio data will make such a lucrative offering for consumers that they won’t be able to resist, Reliance has agreed to the tieup. Reliance has been asked to push its Apple Pay service in all Retail outlets by none other than the Cupertino-headquartered giant himself. Regarding IPL experience Cook says it’s incredible, I am already hooked.
Senior telecom analyst, Tarun Pathak, who is also a Counterpoint Technology Market Researcher said Jio is better pitted among all other telcos to form a strategic partnership with Apple to push its products in other corners of the country. He also added that Reliance would be taking the dominant role in the partnership. He also explained saying Apple Pay is directly in contrast to Jio’s own JioMoney wallet service and in case of Airtel, Wynk is in direct competition to Apple’s Music services.
