DJI has introduced a new extension for smartphones – the Osmo Mobile. As the company says, it turns smartphones into precision camera systems. The Osmo Mobile is available for USD 299 (approx INR 20,000). The Osmo Mobile enables smartphone users to shoot high-quality photos and videos with the use of DJI’s three-axis gimbal stabilization and SmoothTrack technology.
The aforementioned technology is said to increase precision down to 0.03 degrees of accuracy. The SmoothTrack technology compensates for shaking and small movements helping the Osmo Mobile to capture smooth and cinematic shots. Users can access various modes by using the trigger control. Also, they can switch between the smartphone’s front and rear cameras swiftly.
With the DJI GO App, cinematic photos and videos can be live streamed or shared instantly on various social media channels. DJI’s ActiveTrack function allows users to tap the screen to automatically take screengrabs of objects in motion. The Osmo Mobile can accommodate any Android or iOS smartphone with a width between 2.31 and 3.34 inches and is compatible with iPhone 5, iPhone 6, iPhone 6s Plus, the Samsung Galaxy S7 and Huawei Mate 8.
