For the first time India’s first Facebook Messenger bot last month introduced chat that provides on line consultation with doctors. Lybrate has announced Lybrate bot. It appears like any other contact on the Messenger chat list. The advantage of this bot is that people can communicate with specialized doctors and seek opinion on health queries. Thereby they can keep themselves updated on different health-related issues. They can easily obtain answers to different queries without facing any kind of problem. Also all communication done will be confidential. Of course the response time varies from query to query. This bot is available free of cost.
Also Health Quiz is introduced in the Messenger to make users aware about the different types of health issues. There are many health issues that are quite often considered normal and ignored by common man. Now it is also made available on smart phone app. They provide more than 1,00,000 doctors to chose from. These doctors are specialized in more than 50 different fields all over India.
Microsoft and Facebook both are betting big on social bots. These social bots are nothing but automated programs that will help users to communicate among themselves to do simple routine task. Very soon Microsoft intends to introduce bots on Skype too. In its Build developers conference, they ordered pizza from a local Domino’s outlet through its Skype bot. On the other hand, Facebook bots for its Messenger app has taken into consideration the need of eliminating the huge number of multiple processes in between, by helping users to directly order gifts and flowers and more.
