A new Xbox console Project Scorpio, was unveiled by Microsoft Corp. The console will support ultra high resolution gaming and virtual reality. On Monday at the video game conference E3 in Los Angeles they also launched a slimmer version of its Xbox One console. In 2017, it is expected that Project Scorpio will be available during the holiday season and it will have the ability to power virtual reality experiences.
The console will be similar in temperament with Xbox One games and accessories. However as yet the company has not revealed any details regarding the cost at which they will be available. At the conference Sony Corp said that by mid October it would launch its virtual reality headset for PlayStation in the United States. They also said that they would add new titles to its PlayStation console, that would include Marvel’s Spider-Man, God of War and Call of Duty.
Last year Microsoft launched a partnership with Oculus Rift, thereby enabling some Xbox One games to be played on Oculus virtual reality platform. In 2013 the company had launched the Xbox One, and the new Xbox One S console is an updated version of the Xbox One. It is believed that it will sport new features like streaming support for 4K videos that will provides four times the resolution of high definition content. It will be available in August at $299 which will be approximately around INR 20,000. Also new games like Gears of War 4 and Forza Horizon 3 etc were announced at the conference. A gamer can now buy a game once and play it on both their Windows 10 PC and Xbox One console as the company has introdued Play Anywhere.
