In order to make the economy technologically advanced and knowledge based, the Andhra Pradesh government is planning to sign a MoU with the software giant Microsoft. Satya Nadella, CEO Microsoft is going to meet N. Chandraprabhu Naidu, Chief Minister Andhra Pradesh for breakfast where he will sign the MoU. The deal will help government of Andhra Pradesh to improvise the eCitizen services, the field of education and agriculture by providing up to 3 POC (proof-of- concept) solutions in them.
The plan is to use Microsoft’s Advanced Visualization Lab Technology and Azure machine learning for predictive analysis. As per the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, the technology will definitely help in increasing the growth rate to a double digit number and in providing better public services. Microsoft has already started training government officials so that the agriculture, citizen and education services can function in a better way. They will also be providing assistance to the government with cloud technology.
Nadella during his trip for attending a family function in his home town, will also visit the largest technology incubator, T-Hub, developed by government of Telangana which was just launched last month. K. Tarakarama Rao, IT minister, Telangana state, along with other officials will be taking Mr. Nadella around the facility. Apart from the visit he will also be addressing the budding entrepreneur. The event is organised at a low scale by the government as requested by Microsoft CEO. The earlier plan to release the IT, Gaming, animation, innovation and hardware policies on the occasion has been withdrawn.
Nadella grew up in the city but this is the second visit after he took over as the head of Microsoft. The first visit was in September in the last year. Microsoft has its India development centre in present in the city since 1998 which is the largest facility of Microsoft in India. But Nadella had no prior plans for the visit.
