Coolpad Group Limited, a Chinese telecommunications equipment company having their headquarter at Shenzhen in China is one of the largest smart phone company. Recently with a partnership with the online shopping website Snapdeal, it entered the Indian market. For Indian customers Coolpad’s smart phones were available only on ecommerce website.

Coolpad Max mobile which was launched in April 2016 features a 5.50-inch touch screen display with a resolution of 1080 pixels by 1920 pixels . It is powered by 1.5GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor and it has 3GB of RAM. This phone comes with 16GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB with the help of a microSD card. It also features a 13-megapixel rear camera on the rear and a 5-megapixel front camera for selfies. It has a 2800 mAh non removable battery measuring 152.00 x 75.70 x 6.90 and weighing 175 grams. It is a dual SIM phone having connectivity options like Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, NFC, 3G, 4G. It also comes with a Proximity sensor, Ambient light sensor, Accelerometer, and Gyroscope.
A customer could integrate Fingerprint Cards sensors in its new mobile device. The Coolpad’s Max and Max Lite smart phones have FPC1025 and FPC1035 sensors. Due to long standing relationship Coolpad has put in FPC’s biometric sensor technology into a variety of devices like the Coolpad Shine. Few months ago the Coolpad Pro 2 was launched, which featured a FPC1025. Last week they announced the Torino S and Note 3 Plus devices. This signaled continued momentum for FPC in the leading position as a supplier of aforementioned fingerprint sensors to smart phone manufacturers. This follows from the now broadening trend of high end smart phones featuring a finger print sensor for additional security.
