There are many messaging apps that are present in the market today. The most popular ones are WhatsApp Messenger and a messenger service that is developed by Facebook. It is followed by WeChat which is developed by Tencent Holdings Ltd and lastly an app by google called Hangouts. This shows there is a lot of competition in the market. In order to be better than your competitors and have an edge over their products, it is necessary that you keep on innovating your products.
Hence, in order to compete with the rivals, Google has started working on a new mobile messaging application. As per a journal report, the new application will use the artificial intelligence know how of Google and will integrate chatbot or software programs which will answer questions that are inside a messaging app. Using the new app, text messages could be sent to a friend or a chatbot, which will search the web and various sources to find an answer to a question in the similar way as Google search works. Google has still not decided the name of the app or the launch date but a team has already started working on the new app under Google veteran Nick Fox since past one year.

A new marketplace and rating service was developed on Telegram for chatbots by 200 Labs Inc. It was a messaging app with many chatbots which are devoted to different subjects like weather, news, image search and dating.200 Labs is developing a technology which will choose the best chatbot in order to respond to a request. Google also has a similar goal that it wants to achieve in its messaging service.
