Now get set to paint the space all around you. With Google’s tilt brush, the artist can reportedly use the space that surrounds him as his canvass. He can then paint using a console and a VR device to view his surroundings. This way the surroundings itself become the canvas. The console is also termed as the “digital brush,” which then enables the artist to paint the image. It attaches itself to the HTC virtual reality headset and once it is connected, the artist can start creating the masterpiece that could be as large as a room. The creations are virtually endless.

The tilt brush application needs system requirements such as the operating system with Windows 8.1 or later, Windows 7 SP 1 or Windows 10. The processor is CPU: Intel i5-4590, AMD FX 8350 equivalent or better with 4 GB RAM. The graphics include NVidia GeForce G7X970 or AMD Radeon R9 290 equivalent or better. It needs 1 GB of available space. Drew Skillman, the Tilt Brush developer said that the tilt brush, at its core, is a virtual reality painting application. He also explained that it develops something anyone can use, intuitively for artists, kids and absolutely anyone.

Virtual reality has gained tremendous momentum with Google, HTC and other leading technology companies coming up with their own VR Headsets complete with their own small applications that can be used. Such applications can make virtual reality seem even better, especially right from an early age, when it can be used to train children in the creative arts, in this case, painting and maybe sketching. After smart phones, virtual reality seems like the next big thing. Let us know your opinions on the same through the comments section below or through any of our social media channels.
