A couple of months ago, GoPro had introduced their latest Hero5 line-up globally with the initial availability limited to only for US, UK and some countries around. Well, its time for the Indians to celebrate as the latest GoPro range has now been officially launched in India as well. The GoPro Hero5 Black and the Hero5 Session are available in the country for a retail price of INR 38,000 and INR 29,500 respectively. Along with the two, another version of the session camera called as the GoPro Hero Session Camera is available for a price of INR 20,100.
The GoPro Hero5 Black can capture 4K video and 12MP photos in single, burst and time lapse modes. Even without housing the Hero5 Black can survive a dip into water upto10m. Images and videos can be previewed on the Hero5 Black and settings can be changed and footage can be edited as well. It can also be controlled using voice commands.
Some features of the GoPro Hero5 Black are as follows:
- A single press of the shutter button powers on the camera then starts recording video or time lapse photos automatically
- GoPro Plus membership for the Hero5 Black allows users to automatically upload photos and videos directly to the cloud. It makes access, edit and sharing easy.
- Advanced image processing reduces photo motion blur and provides stunning video quality in low-light conditions
- Captures the location where photos and videos are taken
- Automatically filters out wind noise, capturing more of the sounds you care about
The GoPro Hero5 session can capture 4k video just like the Hero5 Black. It can take 10MP photos in single, burst and time lapse modes. Alike its more capable sibling even the Hero5 session can survive a 10m dip in water even without a housing. It gets Low energy Bluetooth and Wi-Fi capabilities. It has a compact design and can be mounted on Helmets etc. It does not get touch screen display though.
The GoPro Hero Session is the most basic of the three and features only the vital functionality. It can capture images of 8MP resolution in single, burst, and time lapse modes. It can capture 2k and Full HD videos It is waterproof upto 10m and features a 1-button control, WiFi and Bluetooth.
