How to get this going on your android device?

It is pretty simple! All you need to do is open the Gmail app on your device, sign in to your email account / accounts and check a small box next to ‘Gmailify’. Users can also unlink their account / accounts at any time, and continue to access them through the app without using Gmailify. Currently this feature will be exclusively available for android devices. However, Google is yet to reveal when it will roll out to iOS users. The company is also planning to add other email providers, apart from those mentioned above, to Gmailify in the future.

Google announced this new feature in a blog post dated 17th Feb. According to the company, Gmailify links your existing account to Gmail so that you get all the bells and whistles – spam protection, inbox organization and even Google Now cards based on your mail – without having to leave your current address behind. This indeed is a welcome feature that will enable hordes of users to do away with all the clutter and needless advertisements on and around their email service providers’ websites and access all that they need through the easily navigable UI of Google’s Gmail.
