Honor could most likely launch their successor to the 5X, the Honor 6X in India tomorrow. Tipped to be a mid-range phone with a dual rear camera setup, the company’s invite for an event tomorrow sends out a message to its recipients, #SWAG phone is coming.
If it indeed is the 6X, what you can expect is a unibody, metallic design along with a 12MP with PDAF+2MP for depth of field, dual camera setup at the back. Selfie duties are taken care by an 8MP front shooter. The screen is a 5.5-inch Full HD, curved display with 2.5D glass on top. Powering the Honor 6X is a Kirin 655 octa-core processor, paired with Mali T830-MP2 GPU.
The Honor 6X runs on Android Marshmallow 6.0 out of the box, and features a microSD card slot, a fingerprint sensor at the back and a 3,340mAh battery with fast charging support. Connectivity options include dual-SIM card slots (hybrid setup), 4G with VoLTE support, WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.1, and GPS.
Elsewhere, the phone is available in three variants – 32GB onboard with 3GB of RAM, 32GB onboard with 4GB of RAM, and 64GB onboard memory along with 4GB of RAM. We’ll have to wait and watch which ones are launched in India. Expect the device to be priced around the 12-15k mark, with variable pricing according to models.
