Global giant HP Inc has unveiled eight new products and among them is HP Spectre Notebook, which currently holds the position of being the world’s slimmest notebook on offer. This device certainly takes the competition in the personal computer segment to a whole new level. The device is just 10.4 mm thin and weighs a measly 1.1 KG. Another device announced by the company is the ELitye X3 which is a 5.96 inch touch screen that can allow users to connect seamlessly to a separate display, mouse or keyboard, thus transforming it into a modern wireless personal computer.
Both the devices are set to arrive in the market soon. The company has officially announced that Spectre with hit the stores sometime in middle of June, 2016. The Elite X3’s arrival is scheduled for later this year. The Spectre has been priced at US $ 1,249. Prices for the Indian market haven’t been announced yet however the US equivalent translates in to roughly INR 83,000. The thinnest business class notebook – HP Elite Book Folio, with 12.4 mm thickness is also a product of HP and is available in India at a price range of INR 1,30,000.
Anneliese Olson, vice president of personal systems business, HP Asia-Pacific and Japan, told reporters in Macau, HP Spectre is the thinnest notebook in the world and unlike the majority of other super thin PCs on the market, this laptop doesn’t compromise power or features.
